Pankaj Kumar is a global technology executive, Global Vice President and Head of the Kyndryl-AWS Business Group, board advisor, and former AWS and Google Cloud leader. He builds and scales technology businesses across AI, cloud, consulting and strategic partnerships, and leads a globally distributed organization spanning the Americas, EMEA, Japan, India and ASEAN from New York.
He leads the Kyndryl-AWS Business Group with end-to-end P&L ownership for the company’s fastest growing strategic segment, supported by more than 11,000 AWS-certified professionals across over 60 countries. He signed Kyndryl’s multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS, aligning joint investment around agentic AI, cloud modernization, data platforms, application transformation and cybersecurity. The business has grown at more than 59 percent year over year under his leadership.
He speaks on three subjects: AI for Senior Leadership, covering how executive teams should evaluate artificial intelligence as a business decision rather than a technology purchase; Execution at Enterprise Scale, on the operational reality of delivering transformation inside large organizations; and Leadership Across Global Organizations, on building and leading globally distributed teams.

He has spent more than two decades inside the organizations that build and run enterprise technology, carrying global P&L responsibility and leading distributed teams across continents. He has led more than 150 enterprise cloud transformation engagements across banking, financial services, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications and high technology, following roles at Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies, Virtusa, Automation Anywhere, AWS, Dataminr and Google Cloud.
He advises boards and executive teams on AI adoption, technology strategy, partner ecosystems, and the operating discipline required to scale. Boards engage him for an operating perspective grounded in delivery: a read on capability, sequencing, risk, and the leadership conditions required for large-scale change to hold.
He earned a Bachelor of Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, followed by studies in marketing and finance at Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, and business administration at Columbia Business School.
